SSPBHSS, KADAKKAVOOR - WEEK 1 

(26 OCTOBER 2022- 29 OCTOBER 2022)

26 October 2022, Wednesday marked the the first day of Semester 2, 40 days' Teaching Practice Session. With a lot of anticipation we, a team of ten people- 4 student teachers from The Department of English and three each from The Department of Malayalam and Social Science entered the school premises. I was fortunate enough to become the leader of the group. I, along with the members of the team was whole heartedly welcomed by the school. We initially went to the Headmasters' room and signed in as per the instruction from our college. Right after the prayer, 

we went to our destined classrooms. I was advised to attend class 8 H. Before entering the class, I made sure Ms. Mini Mohan Ma'am, teacher of English approved my lesson plan. The first day in the class was a little intolerable, but it was gradually taking another turn during the following day. My disappointment paved way for satisfaction. We went to serve food in the Noon Feeding session. The food was served well.  During the afternoon session I, along with Indrajith R, was assigned to conduct class test in 9 D. The day ended well. All the members had their own experiences and that gave us more strength to prepare for the following days. It was truly a day of experiment and understanding the young learners. We got out of the school after signing the evening session's signature.

27 October 2022, Thursday was the next day of our programme. As usual, after all the procedures, we went to our destined classrooms. I was advised to attend 8H. Apart from day 1, the students were very co operative and I had more confidence in attending them. I had a great satisfaction after the class. The students listened to my class well and I cleared almost all their doubts. I could follow my lesson plan to 70% and that added to my satisfaction. We went for serving in the Noon Feeding Session. Like the previous day, I and Indrajith had to conduct test paper in class 9D. After the evening prayer, we signed in and got out of the school.

28 October 2022, Friday was the most important day, both for us and for the school. The school had to face its First Parliament Elections via Online procedures. Almost all of us had election duties. I had to assist Ms. Mini Mohan Ma'am. Today, there was assembly and that was conducted well. I made sure that I did my duties to the maximum. I was fortunate enough to register the names of the candidates . The election was conducted well.

The results were declared and I saw a new shade of the school that day. After the elections, we went for the Noon Feeding Session. We had our lunch and after that we went to our destined classes. I took class in 8 H. I was received well and I took the class well. After the evening prayer, we signed and got out of the school campus.

29 October 2022, Saturday was the day of School Youth Festival. All the members of the team reached the school in time and signed in. Almost all the classes had less strength as most of the students were engaged in practice for the afternoon session. We engaged in our destined classes and made sure we helped the school authority in the best way possible for the youth festival. We signed in and got out of the school campus at 2.00 pm as we had to go to our college, which was informed to the Headmaster the previous day. We have a sound relationship with the school and they are ready to lend their ears for whatever suggestions we put forward regarding the academics. The first week was more good than we actually expected. Now, SSPBHSS has a piece of my heart in it.
